FAQ: What do I do if I am planning to retire?

Our group plans require that you work a minimum of 20 hours per week in order to maintain your coverage. If you plan to retire before your 65th birthday (Medicare eligible age) you will not be eligible for coverage. You may be eligible for COBRA and/or CalCOBRA coverage depending on the size of your firm. Please contact Seabury & Smith at 800 824-1154 to discuss your options.

I am age 65 and covered under Medicare.
Do you provied supplemental medicare coverage?
If so, what are the plans and premimium costs?
I am presently insured by Aetna.

We do not currently offer a CalCPA endorsed Medicare Supplement plan. The AICPA does – if you are an AICPA member you can call 1 800 957-3195 for information. Additionally, our plan administrator, Seabury & Smith can assist you with an Anthem Blue Cross Medicare Supplement.
